what is the prom queen experience?
The Prom Queen Experience IS A COMMUNITY INITIATIVE THAT CELEBRATES GRADUATING SENIORS. THIS EXPERIENCE was officially created in January 2026 after years of sponsoring prom giveaways through my hair business, Hair Like Kayla’s, since 2018. What started as MAKING FREE WIGS AND GIVING AWAY HAIR FOR PROM, has now grown into a meaningful initiative designed to celebrate graduating high school seniors by providing a full prom-day transformation.
Through support from local businesses and community partners, we come together to uplift and celebrate young women during an important moment in their lives. This year, two WINNERS were selected and will receive a private location, catered food, professional hair, makeup, and nail services — a full day of pampering designed to make them feel like the queens they are.
What began as a simple giveaway has now grown into a community experience that brings people together to support and celebrate the next generation.
why this matters
Prom season is an exciting milestone, but for many students, the cost of preparing for prom can be overwhelming. The Prom Queen Experience was created to remove some of that pressure from the parents and the students while giving deserving seniors the opportunity to feel confident, celebrated, and supported by their community.
Through this initiative, we aim to remind young women that they are valued, capable, and deserving of moments that celebrate their accomplishments.
